Why Did I Leave My Full-Time Job?
The question I’m sure a lot of people are wondering, why did I leave my full-time job, especially in times like these?
If you don’t know, I have left my full-time job and taken on Opinion full-time. When I started Opinion, it was my goal to make this my full-time job, and I thought in my head that there would be a specific day or a moment that I knew I would be able to do it, and I was completely wrong. If I’m being honest, yes I’m doing this full time, but this will not be how I make my money. I will be taking side gigs and side jobs to make money to pay rent, and buy food, any money that I make from Opinion goes right back into it.
Happiness to me is what life is about, and I was not happy. I asked myself every day, what is it that makes me truly happy, and no matter what way I tried to word it, it always came back to Opinion. I have no idea if I’m making the right decision or not, and that’s such a scary feeling, but it’s also a feeling that drives me to be successful because I know I will only be rewarded for how hard I work. One thing I do know is that I’m happy waking up every day knowing that I get to create things that I’m passionate about and creating a brand that can better others and myself, and that’s what matters to me the most.
I knew I would feel uncomfortable making this leap, and that’s part of the reason why I did. I have made it my goal to start challenging myself, and the moment I become too comfortable is the moment I stop making progress, and making this step to do Opinion full-time is a great way to get me back out of my comfort zone and figuring out how to make this all work.
With that being said, I can’t wait for you to see the new t-shirt we have dropping late July, the collab we have with Hybrid Nation this fall, and the new pieces we have for this Fall/Winter.
